National Best Stand Design Contest Winners Announced. Special Thanks to Our Sponsor, Brother International Corporation
BY GUEST BLOGGER, MEGHAN KELLEHER, LEMONADE DAY NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Introduction by Steven Gordon, Lemonade Day National President
I am turning over this week’s blogging duties to Meghan Kelleher. Meghan works with all our generous sponsors, ensuring that Lemonade Day continues to provide relevant programming and fun activities and contests for our youth entrepreneurs. After sponsoring Lemonade Day Brooklyn last year, Brother suggested a National Best Stand Design Contest, and we loved the idea. The entries were submitted, and the results are in. I’ll let Meghan announce the winners.
Hi, everyone. I am Meghan Kelleher, and I’ve been with Lemonade Day for nearly three years now. I have the great pleasure to work with our wonderful sponsors and foundations who believe in the Lemonade Day movement. Today, we are especially grateful to Brother for suggesting and sponsoring the Lemonade Day National Best Stand Design Contest. The judges at Brother were impressed by the young entrepreneurs who submitted their designs, and they enjoyed the experience of making their selections.
And the results are in! As the sponsor of the contest, Brother is gifting $100 to each winner. Congratulations to:
- Matthew Dorsett, our Best Stand Design winner for the “Pre-K to 2nd grade” category. Great job, Matthew!
- Arwen Griffith, our Best Stand Design winner for the “3rd to 5th grade” category. Congrats, Arwen!
- Kaydence Roberts, our Best Stand Design winner for the “6th to 12th grade” category. Well done, Kaydence!
We want to thank Brother for their enthusiasm around the contest, and we appreciate their ongoing support.
Lemonade Day supporters are committed to providing positive experiences for kids and helping them with life skills they will use for a lifetime. We believe in encouraging them to learn about confidence, success, and doing something good for others. We will continue to stimulate the minds of kids to “think outside the box” and pursue their wildest dreams. If you are interested in learning more about our sponsorship and fundraising programs, feel free to contact me at meghan@lemonadeday.org.
I also want to remind everyone about Lemonade Day My Way. Your child can still participate in Lemonade Day in 2020. Circle the dates on your calendar for Lemonade Day My Way weekend, August 20-23. Kids can register to participate in Lemonade Day My Way for free at www.lemonadeday.org and can access the Lemonopolis online lesson program from any device, anytime, from anywhere. Lemonade Day My Way participants will have the option to enter contests to win new bicycles and funds to start a future business.
