Great Reviews and Heartwarming Thoughts From the First Weekend of Lemonade Day 2021 Season

BY DEBBIE NAZARIAN, LEMONADE DAY NATIONAL DIRECTOR

This past weekend was the first full weekend of Lemonade Day events in cities across the Southwest. What an exciting day for our new business owners! I just have to share some of the great reviews and heartwarming thoughts that were posted on the Facebook pages of some of those Lemonade Day cities.

Congratulations to all the Lemonade Day stand owners...you all did so well! If you stopped by a Lemonade Day stand in one of these cities, thank you for supporting our entrepreneurs.

Of course, a very special thank you goes to all the mentors, sponsors and volunteers who made “business launch day” so very special for our Lemonade Day kids. Your advocacy for youth entrepreneurship is extremely important to Lemonade Day’s mission. We appreciate you!

It’s not too late to register a child for a Lemonade Day in one of our licensed cities. Visit Find-Your-City to find a Lemonade Day near you.

“Blown away with the generous spirit of the kids who participated in the Lemonade Day Amarillo event today. I met kids that were earning money so others could go to summer camp at the Maverick Boys & Girls Clubs of Amarillo, I met a young lady that was using some of her money to help pay some of her grandmother's medical bills associate with her cancer treatment, another student was paying to fix his phone so he could stay in touch with his mom when he traveled with the Wesley Community Center for wrestling tournaments, and the list goes on. We have amazing kids in our community. Thank you to everyone that sponsored a great event to showcase the kid's entrepreneurial ideas.”

These young business owners had it down! Sales pitches, specials, inventory, even certificates of occupancy!!! Way to go Boerne Lemonade Days! Y’all did a wonderful job!  ”

“Please go out and support our little entrepreneurs today in the Boerne and Fair Oaks areas! These kids have worked hard to prep for today. Let’s show them how our community comes together to support one another!”

Lemonade Day Jefferson County (Beaumont, TX area)

Jefferson County Lemonade Day

“Lemonade stands were set up across Jefferson County on Sunday for Lemonade Day. We are so proud of all our young entrepreneurs that participated in this event. It may have been Lemonade Day, but lemonade wasn't all they were selling, they also had lemon pancakes, fresh fruit preserves, stovetop popcorn, tea cakes, lemon bars, homemade soaps, etc. They all had goals for how they wanted to spend their money, but they didn't forget about the importance of giving back as well. These are some of the organizations the kids chose to give back to: Boys' Haven, Walk to End Alz, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Humane Society of SETX, CASA of Southeast Texas, Beaumont Farmer's Market, Love Lunchsack Ministry, and some local churches. We hope to see you all again next year for Lemonade Day 2022!”

“Everything you need to know...from the pros.” View video.

“Lemon Squeezy invites you to her lemonade stand this Sunday from 9-12   The boss says we’re serving lemon pancakes, pizza, lemonade (regular, peppermint, strawberry and spicy) and she’ll also be selling crayons and soap she made. She’s decided to donate her proceeds (after buying a Barbie Dream House) to the Farmers’ Market. If you want to buy crayons or soap, but live out of the area, we’re happy to mail them to you.”

Awesome! Right?

How can you not love, love, love everything about these statements?!! If you see budding entrepreneurs selling their products, whether it’s lemonade or something else, please stop and buy something from them. They have worked hard to launch their business and deserve the same patronage and respect you would give any business.
